MaaSec

Our story

The MaaSec club

We started MaaSec because we kept meeting students who were genuinely interested in cybersecurity, but didn’t know where to begin. The resources exist out there, but the journey wasn’t always clear. Many had the curiosity to learn, but lacked the guidance and community to take their first steps.

Today, MaaSec creates a pathway from complete beginner to discovering real-world vulnerabilities through weekly labs, our CTF team, and real consultancy services.

Build practical skills through projects, CTFs, and real-world research.

Our Mission

MaaSec empowers students to become the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. We create opportunities to learn from industry experts, build practical skills, gain real-world experience, and connect with a diverse cybersecurity community. Through workshops, professional events, and international CTF competitions, we aim to bridge the gap between university and industry while giving every student the opportunity to learn, compete, and grow.

  1. Lower the barrier to entry

No certifications, no prior coursework needed. If you're curious, there's a seat for you.

  2. Build real, provable skill

CTF placements, bug bounty reports, and consultancy work. Gain valuable experience.

  3. Close the workforce gap

4.8 million security roles sit empty worldwide. We're training people to fill them.

Three teams. Pick the one that fits you.

Andreas Constantinou3rd year, Computer Science
I always wanted to compete in CTFs, but they looked too difficult. After joining a competition with MaaSec, I helped the CTF team achieve a top 3% placement at THEM?!CTF.
Theodotos Neokleous3rd year, Computer Science
Our CTF captain’s dedication and work ethic were crucial in helping MaaSec secure 2nd place in the Netherlands in 2026.
